Default Help... need tips on how to get white wax residue off black trim pieces.

Tip for you people: don't buy the Zymol wax sold at places like Wal-Mart. It's not true Zymol and it leaves white residue everywhere.

Default Most of knew that...but thanks...to remove the residue- - ->

use One Grand ERV Exterior rubber & Vinyl dressing and/or Harley PolyGuard. Residue marks will disappear.

Default Rubbing alcohol will break down the wax...

if you don't want to mail order something special. For any textured surfaces, you may want to invest in a toothbrush to help get the wax out of crevices.

A soft toothbrush, or find an old worn one that is softened.

I prefer the Safeway soft children's toothbrushes, small and soft, good for air vents too

Default Jeff, where do you get that narrow masking tape you use to cover the gaps between the panels?

I want to pick up a bunch of that stuff when I go over the car in the spring.

Default It's standard 3/4 3M masking tape, I get it from P&S Sales or SanCarlos Paint in SanCarlos

because it's always fresh
