Default I apply FMJ with my PC and find it impossible to get the pad clean..

Even after soaking the pad in hot water and Dawn, there is alot of residue. Am I using too much product? Does it really matter if I always use the same pad to apply the FMJ?

Default Same here...

I'm using a white Edge 2K pad to apply it and it's pretty much stained that pinkish color from the FMJ. I've done about 4-5 cars with it that way and it doesn't seem to have any negative impacts.

Default I gotta think it's too much product. It *is* difficult, but I always get the pad clean

After repeated washing with Dawn. FMJ really goes forever, so it won't take much at all for any car to be fully covered.

Default The dyes in the product stain the pad. Same thing happens when I use PO106FF on a white pad.

Don't worry about it.

At the same time, have you tried applying FMJ by hand? IMO it's quicker and easier.

Don't do that. It's a waste of time (money) and product (money).

Default I think dish soap breaks down the adhesive that holds the foam to the backing...>

Or maybe that is what they say to get me to buy special cleaning solutions? I used to soak mine in hot water and dish soap. Recently, I've used snappy dry to clean all my pads. It seems to work well, afterwards I dry them out with my PC.

Default I've used dawn power dissolver on my pads many times with no adverse effects.

I also have wolfgang pad cleaner (generic citrus based powder cleaner) and there's no real advantage to using either product.

Default I use less then 1/2oz for the whole car, you may be using to much

Get some foam pad cleaner, to clean the pad if you need to get it out.
