I don't think the seats are dirty, but how do you tell? I have a TT with amber baseball interior. Should I clean the seats even if they don't look dirty? I use Lexol and Meguiars Gold Class. I like the smell of Meguiars and it has a UV protectant, unlike Lexol.
Well, maybe I've answered my own question. Meguiars is a cleaner/conditioner. Maybe that's all I need.

I prefer the 2 stage cleaner + conditioner.
So if that's what you're using, yes, clean them first.
It's similar to the concept of a cleaner wax, vs. using separate products for separate tasks. Personally, I think it's better to remove the filth first, then apply the conditioner.

Eventually you may see dirt on the seat and need to clean them. I clean about once a year.

how about using leather wipes to clean the seat?
I have never tried it but think that it might be ok for surface cleaning before you condition and properly clean the seats.
anyone ever use this, please comment.
