Default I hope these products are up to par :)

I see a lot of people order their products online and probably don't go to the local car parts place too often.

I didn't have leather interior until now. I have mostly Mequiar's products. I used to use a lot of 3M products, but it was a long time ago.

At the moment, I have Mequiar's....Gold Class Rich Leather Celaner/Conditioner.....Final Inspection which is my favorite product for upkeep, but I can't seem to find it around here anymore.....Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Cond (for dash and doors and rubber).....Hot Rims All Wheel cleaner.....Quick Mist & Wipe Detailer (this may have replaced the Final Inspection?)....Cleaner Wax....

I have The Absorber shammy and the Quickie Microfiber Auto Pro wash mitt.

I have a few other misc. products, but these are the main ones. I still want to get the Boars hair brush.

So although not super professional stuff, I think it will do the job.

Any suggestions, advice, critiques are appreciated. Thanks

I would probably replace The Absorber with a microfiber drying towel (can get them at Detailers Domain). I used to use them until I discovered the Microfiber. The Absorber is soft, but it has no weaves etc... to trap dirt. It will essentially catch dirt particles and scrape them along the finish.

Additionally, the Megs cleaner wax is just that, primarily a cleaner. might want to get a pure wax (even if it's from Megs) for added protection. Again, DD has some very good ones. My wife has your car and color and Einzett glanz wax works great.

Hope this helps.

Default Thanks for the info...

Do you know how long these products last? When I moved into my condo (4 yrs ago), I stored a lot of things at my Moms place. I'll have to check and see what's there.

I would like to try the Einzett wax. I don't think I need a cleaner wax on a new car. Any suggestions for the aluminum trim by the trunk lid and around the doors?

The towel, and wax are great gift ideas. I am giving my family these ideas for my Bday

I know my Mom will be thrilled to give me wax as a gift...lol

I'm not sure about Meg's products, but I think 4 years is nearing the end for most. FYI DD is having a sale on now, just look for Phil's (DD owner) post, until the 21st. If your family misses it audiworld members get 10 percent off too...DD is really great to deal with.

As far as alum trim, my wife's still looks perfect after a year and a half and i haven't done anything to it (although i live in SoCal where the weather is good). Since it is non-porous, you can simply use any wax/protectant on it (like glanz) I'd imagine.
