Default ive got something all over my hood...

some type of road spray i guess
its actually everywhere but mostly on the hood

anyway
its not too hard to take it off
its little speckles and they are clear- (ish)
what do i do to get them off
they come off with a fingernail very easily
but i dont think im ganna do that to my whole car.
regular washing dosent do it, and neither does waxing. should i try a cleaner wax or a clay bar or something else?

I plan on detailing my car today if the weather cooperates.

also after i get this stuff off i was planning on putting on a coat of quality soft wax and then a coat of hard carnuba wax.

any comments?

thanks alot for any help and comments

Default What I would do...

claybar to remove the "spots", follow with 3M IHG to polish, clean and condition the surface, if needed. Then 1-2 coats of your favorite wax.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with the "soft" wax -- "hard" wax routine.

Agree with RKA...clay bar should take it right off.

Default 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. If that doesn't work by itself, get some P21S Multi Surface Finish Restorer

Use a small amount of the surface restorer, like half the size of a penny, and mix it with some 3M IHG. Follow up with one time straight hand glaze, a good polish (I recommend P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser) and a good wax (I recommend One Grand Blitz Wax). Here's a link to buy the stuff...

Car Care Specialties
