microfiber towells
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/41034/audi-front.jpg"></center><p>How do you use them. Wet? What product.
Example, say I want to clean my windows. Can you use the fine glass microfiber towells on the outside glass?
And for the body, how do you use them? Wet? Dry?
Thanks!

Depends on what I'm using them for.
For removing wax/glaze/polish I use dry.
When using with quick detailing spray I wipe down the wet body panel with one side and use a dry side to buff.
Cleaning windows I do the same as quick detailing.
When dusting the dash I mist the towel with water and then use like that.
I don't use them for washing or drying the paint.
I only have one type of MF towel, none specifically for glass or whatever. Seems to work fine.

If you get Griot's Microfiber, don't use them on the glass.
They leave behind a fine lint. Viper makes some good microfiber towels. They have different one's for glass, and paint.

I only use them to remove wax, scratch removers, glaze, etc. I use a chamois for drying.
Matter of preference really, and not all Microfiber is suited for drying. They don't all absorb a lot of water.

Use them wet on the body, wet or dry on the glass. Some for the body will scratch window tint films
so only use MF cloths made for glass on window tint. 3M makes a really nice one for the body, and Viper makes a very nice one for the windows. Since you use different products for both, I find it helpful to use two different types of cloths for these two applications.

Not mine. The drying towels have a short nap, firm surface, waffle finish. The removal cloth is...
... fuzzy on one side, velvety on the other, are much thicker, softer, less dense, less stiff, and have no pattern. The only similarity is that they are yellow.
Has nothing to do with washing.
Griot's offered to refund on the linty removal cloths.
Avoid these:

You must have something different. My Griot's drying towels are used dry, and fine on windows too.
Are you sure you're not talking about synthetic chamois? That is used wet, and it is NOT microfiber.
