Default Ok, I pulled a stupid move recently!!!

A couple weeks ago, we got a 2' or so snow storm here. (go figure, this weekend, it was 77, today mid 80's!) Anyhow, I stupidly took my plastic shovel, and gently (I thought) shoveled the snow off my Tundra without touching (I thought) the paint. I thought I'd kept the shovel 1-2" above the paint. Well, this weekend, I was looking at the hood, and noticed these scuff marks in what I think is the clear coat. I'm thinking I can buff them out with my PC. Any recommendations on the process? I'll take pics tonite.

Default rule of thumb (no pun intended) is that if you can catch a fingernail in the scratch

it's too deep to buff out. Otherwise, you're good

Default well, I could feel it, as I ran my fingernail over it

but, I got a lot of it out. There's still a little bit if you look at it just right that I can't seem to get out. I forgot to take pics, I was so intent on getting it out. But, it looks a lot better now.

Default I did another run of IP and FP

and the scratch marks are almost invisible! I coated it with Zaino Z2 after, and my hood looks almost as good as brand new now, maybe an even deeper shine now, with no fine scratches from the dealer washing it.
