Default Polishing question...

Last time I used 3M IHG, it was extremely difficult to remove from the car by hand. Can/should it be removed by PC? Also, is the One Grand Omega Glaze easier to remove and does it yield the same results?

Default Similar experiences with IHG here

it seems to be very dependent on temp and even the slightest bit of sun. I actually avoid it now because I always find it to be a bear to remove. Omega Glaze is easier to work with but iirc it can not dry for too long.. few minutes max (10).

Default You're probably using too much.

And you're probably letting it dry.

Glaze is difficult to remove if you apply it like wax -- i.e., wipe on, let dry, wipe off. But that's not how to apply it. You get very little benefit that way.

Glaze should be applied sparingly with lots of elbow grease, or preferably a PC. You know you've done it right when it almost vanishes, leaving only what looks like an oily residue. Wipe that off, no waiting. If you do it this way you won't have any trouble removing it.

Default Remeber Rule # 1 & #2

i think the two most common mistakes made when using a polish are 1) not giving it enugh time to break down into a slurry, and do it's job...most quit too soon, and 2) Letting it dry out (ie working in direct sun light.

Try giving it a spritz with distilled water while applying (I am assuming you are using a PC to apply) and keep it wet...

I would use the PC to remove it..just to apply. JMHO...and YMMV.

Default did you mean to say: "I would use the PC to remove it..not just to apply"?...

and also, what color pads should I use to apply and remove? Thanx

Default

Did you decide to replace the 3M IHG with the Omega glaze altogether?

Default I believe he meant he would not use the PC to remove it.

There's no reason why you'd need to use a PC to remove glaze, if it's been properly applied.

Default so basically...

I think my problem last time was that I used to much of it and the glaze dried before I had time to apply it (since I applied it by hand). Next time, by the time that I'm done applying it, I guess there should only be a thin layer of glaze on the car that should be fairly easy to remove by hand. I hate to be a noob, but is there anything that you would advise that is better in replace of this?

Default since IHG is a product that only hides problems, not corrects them, in its place

when the sitution calls for it, I use p21s gepc. The effect is the same and gepc goes on and off like butter

Default

that's what I usually use, the p21s, but it doesn't seem to do much for the swirls
