Road tar/ oil on my BBS RX wheels. How do I get it all off?
Hit a stretch of road a couple weeks ago that the state had just laid down oil on... the oil they use right before paving. I hit it at 40 mph (after dark) and realized too late that it had been oiled. No markings at all to warn motorists. Got the oil all over the side of the car, on the stainless allroad door sill blades and of course all over the rear wheels. Got it off the car and most of it off the wheels but I just can't get it all off the wheels. Any magic elixir I can try that won't damage the wheel finish?

Meguiars Bug and Tar worked great on my wheels.
They were tarred up pretty good (BBS CHs). I didn't notice any damage to the naked eye. I started with P21s, but it didn't do a whole lot, so I rinsed, scrubbed, applied Meguiars, let it soak 15 seconds or so and then rubbed it off with a cloth, rinsed again, and waxed.
