Since I blew out my back I have not washed car since before memorial day........
I even used to hand wash my '95 Corvette in the dead of winter by hooking the hose up to the hot/cold faucet in the mud room off the garage. So yes, I do understand having black = swirls, but aren't there brushless car washes too? I haven't seen any around me, but they do exist.
I am going to have to either go to my Moms or go to the self service wash bays and bring a bucket. And they even post signs that say 'No Bucket Washing' SHEESH
Now with a silver or lighter colored metallic color those brushless washes are an option. But for black absolutely not, IMO. There is one close to my house that I bring my Pathfinder to but never my Audi.
I also have a self serve bay close to me, used that this winter when I had a ton of salt on the car to rinse off.
I'll probably wax it today. I don't think it's been waxed. New or not, I could feel the paint wasn't treated when I was using my shammy to finish drying.
The PT also said if for some reason I do end up needing surgery to go to a neuro-surgeon for it.
