Default speaking of underwhelmed: tried some tests with the cr spotless system today

specifically, i let the water just dry in the sunlight, and the results were not what i'd hoped for. granted, it was significantly better than without the cr spotless system, but not anywhere near the results that can be achieved with proper drying. i was embarrassed to drive the car to work afterwards -- though i had no choice since i didn't have time for a rewash.

in short, i think it's a useful product, but those who are serious about detailing and are looking to skip drying entirely should look elsewhere. those who are a bit less picky will probably find the results acceptable though.

Default thanks for the update I appreciate it.

What about the remaining water from the mirrors etc... when it runs does it dry with spots?

Default yes. but the spots are certainly less noticeable than without cr spotless.

btw, according to the gauges, the water should be 100% pure. but apparently that's not enough to completely get rid of the spotting.

Default update: seems i need a new filter (already) too bad they cost $120 each

checked the ppm counts this morning, and they're up to 50 (from 0). so that is probably the cause of my issues.

of course, i've owned the thing for less than a month -- and i'm not sure i'm ready to spend $120 a month just for pure water.

again, i get the feeling this thing is more for the weekend detailer than for the hardcore.

Default I hate to admit it

but I was in a pinch again the other day so I did the DIY stall routine. Whatever toxic chemical they put in the "spot free rinse", it really does work.
