Stone Chips
I washed my wife's Briliant Black A4 Cabriolet yesterday and noticed that she's got her first stone chip in the hood. Tiny, but it's down to the primer.
Does anybody have any suggestions on the best way to fill the chip with matching touchup paint in such a way as to avoid the touchup equivalent of overspray?
Thanks.

Re: Stone Chips
Go to an art supply store, and get a super-fine
artist's brush. Don't use the one that comes with the OEM touch-up paint: the bristles are too thick. Apply the paint to the artist brush sparingly, have a paper towel ready to touch excess paint off the brush. The best way to do this is to apply it in multiple applications. One thin coat to start, and let it dry completely. Apply additional applications in the same manner, as needed. This won't work too well outside in cold, winter weather. So hopefully you are either in a warm climate, or have a garage.

Does that stuff work over clear coat?
EDIT: Nevermind. I read the directions--use the touchup, use the blob eliminator, then put clearcoat over it.
