Default thank you PennDot for using tar on cracks, and letting people drive on it....

I have a huge chunk of flattend tar w/stones adhered to my tire. It's like a massive bald spot.

Any ways except wait until the weather cools and screwdriver it off?

This is one of the things in life you shouldn't have to fvck with....thwap, thwap, thwap...it's enough tar to throw off the balance.

Default If you wait until the weather cools to remove, I bet you get a flat...

from a huge chunk of who knows what that the tar picks up.

I'd get that off asap. Happened to me once, it sucks.

Default thanks.....3 of the 4 tires picked up crap.

the right front got the worst. I'm happy it's the 4 Runner, not the A6, but still. I'm going to be irritated if end up having to replace the tires on a truck that's only 4 months old w/ 3K on the clock.

Looks like it's screwdriver and putty knife time.

Default I kept putting tar remover on it and let it soften it up a little to make it easier to peel off.

Still took a while tho.

Default thanks meng...

it's really on there. I tried last week when it was really hot and couldn't get it to budge. It's worn down to the top of the tread.

Thanks for the idea. I didn't want to soak the tire in gas...lol.
