Video: Adam's new CERAMIC SPRAY COATING. A sprayable 9H ceramic coating?!?
Hi guys!
I review the brand new Adam's Ceramic Spray Coating and give a tutorial on how to apply it, and tips on how to use it as well.
Adam's claims this is a 9H coating. Of course, there is some marketing in there, but it promises to bridge the gap between a full blown ceramic coating lasting 2+ years and a spray sealant that lasts 2 months. They say the new Ceramic Spray Coating should last 6 to 8 months so I'm expecting 5-6 months in real world conditions.
Enjoy the video!

They claim 6 to 8 months, so I expect 5 months in real world conditions, but it's still too early to tell. This product has only been available for purchase since January so nobody has had time to test this for 6 months or more yet.

I have the Adams large microfiber towel that I use for drying. I have the Q8 so there is a lot to dry and the towel gets all the water and doesn't need to be wrung out at all. I have heard really great things about the Adams line.

I'm curious about these products--are they really a standalone? Or do they work best in protecting an existing CC like CQuartz?
I use the Adam's wheel cleaner. It works, but you need to be a bit careful with it in full strength. I'm ordering another spray bottle to dilute it some for the regular weekly washes.

I've sampled a number of these spray on coatings and the longevity is typically about 1/2 of what the mfr claims. However, for the amount of money spent, and with the effort required, they're pretty good. I think you'd probably want to apply 4x/year for any decent amount of protection. The Turtle Wax line seems to be getting good traction and, of course, is totally affordable.
These products will never be able to compete head to head with a true ceramic coating, their Si02 content is a fraction of what's in the coatings that come in the tiny bottles for $50.

I got the full frontal wrap on my Q8 and the dealer had already put ceramic coating on the vehicle. So the detail shop had to remove it from the hood, fenders, and front to apply the Adams ceramic to the wrap. They put the Adams on those parts after the wrap and there is a big difference in Adams favor. I just hand washed and dried the car an hour ago and could tell the difference so much that I am going to take the car back to the detail shop and have them apply the Adams ceramic to the rest of the car. The ceramic the dealer put on is only 3 months old.
