What Durofoam color pads are best for which step in detail process?

What Durofoam color pads are best for which step in detail process?
DD's package of pads:
Orange/Green. It seems green is the stiffest (most aggressive), and I haven't used it yet.
orange I've used with a medium cut one time and another time I've used orange with a polish. Wtih the polish and the orange I could not get the polish to break down (Megs #7).
White/Black
I just use white for FMJ, and finish with the black for removal.
Is the stock PC white the same density as the Durafoam white?
