Default While cleaning my MAF today I decided to give the engine a detailing...

...I ended up taking the whole air box out as it was disgusting. The bottom of the air box, where the secondary air inlet is, was completely caked with old road salt & grime.

And no, I didn't use Kaboom (which does not work at all well on grease). I used Orange Blast (which has a lovely citrus smell) & went through almost an entire roll of shop towels in the process.

The pic is too small, but you get the idea. The K&N (and sticker)will be getting yanked as soon as the new MAF arrives...

Default Did you spray your engine with a hose or just the citrus spray?

I'm too chicken **** to spray my car with a hose.

No hose, just the Orange Blast and a thorough wiping with shop towels.
