Winter Drivers Poll: How often do you wash your car in winter and how?
In Toronto, Canada and washing myself not an option and paying someone to detail in the winter is waste of money.
TIA.

I live in Maine; wash my car whenever its above freezing.
I'd suggest you give it a try, but maybe you don't have the same OCD problem I have!
I'd try to wash the car every once in a while - particularly if Toronto uses the same de-icing spray on roads that they use in Maine (magnesium chloride?). That stuff will eat anything - and quickly. Much worse than regular salt or sand.
Have you tried washing with QEW? Don't need a hose for that. Works well once you get the hang of it. Even can wash inside a garage, if you're skilled.

Weekly. More in snowy weather.....
I hate the salt and crap that hangs on the car so if it gets nasty out I will wash down the cars after I pull them in the garage to get the slush and salt of them. Sometimes I don't even bother to dry them.
I am lucky that I have a drain in the garage. The garage is heated as well. I keep it at around 45 degrees all the time in winter to keep the chill off the cars and nothing freezes. But when I want to wash cars I can crank it up and it can get to 65-70 degrees in 15 minutes. I also have hot/cold water so I can wash with warm water.
It's heaven.
