ABS CONTROL MODULE
I was having fun slowly upgrading my 98 B5 1.8TQ when just recently my ABS Control module went out. My shop talked about $1000 repair +. Can I get these remanufactured anywhere? What have others done? Thanks -

There is a place that will rebuild it.....for about $ 250.00

I am going to go this route in the coming weeks.
By the way..the half of the ABS unit that goes bad (the electronic control unit of your ABS system) is now available from the dealer new for around $ 650.00. I think I prefer the $ 250.00 rebuild option...

The new modules still have the factory defect in them and will fail in 3-5 years time again. The rebuilt units from ModuleMaster have the problem corrected and will not fail like the new replacement modules.
