Default crazyness

My brake seems a little stiff. Also when I'm stopping.. like 2 seconds right before a full stop I hear a noise that sounds like the brake pads are out and I'm grinding metal, but from what I could see theres still a finger thick layer left on the brake pads. (I took the wheel off). The same noise occurs when releasing the brake and pushing the gas pedal. (the reason why I didnt know if the breakpads were out or not is cause I just got the car yesterday. Also the passenger can also feel the same thing i'm feeling under their feet.) Another thing I hear is also some cracking(i dont know how else to describe the noise) when turning the steering wheel in place.. doesnt occur while driving... I think it might be the tires grinding against the ground (but I doubt it) and the tires are new but again I'm not sure. Anyways any help is appreciated.

Default High Speed Braking Grumbling Noise - 93 UrS4

My thread is not in any direct response to anything I have read in this discussion forum. After searching the forums, I cannont find anything that anyone has described matching what I have been experiencing with the front brakes of my old 93 UrS4. Problem seems to coincide with my installating new front Zimmerman cross drilled sport rotors with front EBC Red Stuff brake pads. Put front brake components on myself, ... been doing this kind of stuff for over 20 years. Double checked tightening torque of mounting bolts on my front OEM calipers, etc., after noticing this issue. All tight and to spec.

So I will simply pose this question: If any of you guys have installed the same combination of front brake pads and rotors as I have, do you experience a loud grumbling noise in the front when aggessively slowing down from high speed,... for example passing slower cars in passing zones on two way roads? In other words, slowing down to legal speeds from paralegal passing speeds?

I am guessing it's the combination of the EBC Red Stuff Pads and cross drilled rotors, but before I go through the trouble of putting my old OEM pads with the Zimmermann cross dirlled rotors and/or EBC pads with non cross drilled rotors to experiment, I am currious if others experienced this high speed braking issue.

Thanks.
