Default I need a new floor jack...

I have a Craftsman 3.5 that has leaked the fluid over the winter. Rather than trying to figure out how to fix it...

Can anyone recommend a good 3 ton one under $150? Need to lift a '04 S4.

You bought a craftsman jack... most craftsman products have a lifetime warranty.

I'd try for a warranty replacement first. If that fails...

this is what I use:

Many craftsman jacks are known to leak, (check sears.com and view the jack reviews and youll find tons of complaints about the common hydraulic fluid leak even when barely used, it may not occur immediately but for many it happened a year or two down the line where the warranty was no longer valid).

i dont have any particular brand to recommend (sorry) but I would purchase something that has a lifetime warranty like Husky. I've been using a cheap duralast jack for the last 3 years and it gets used and abused A LOT and it still works!

Default Actually, only hand tools

None of the electrical or hydraulic stuff is warranted forever. Typically 1 year.

Good luck if you find otherwise.

I actually like the Harbor Freight jacks for the money.

The craftsman jack is great...for a short period of time. I've gone through 3-4 of the 2-ton aluminum jacks. All replaced. This last one has been holding out for quite some time though...

I'm sure some will hoot at me. But the harbor freight jacks are solid. Dont get the low profile ones though, get the regular ones that are cheaper and wok better, IMO.
