Default Anyone know a place to rent a carpet cleaner/extractor for car interior?

Looking to clean up the inside a little bit this weekend, and I don't want to scrub with soap and brush. I know that Home depot has those big *** ones to rent for household carpet cleaning, but need something that will fit inside the car.

Does anyone have something I can borrow maybe?

Default Carpet cleaner

I use my household one with the hand attachments... If you have carpet in your home, it's worth just buying one, ~$200 at costco - they work like a charm.

+1.

If you're not too far, and supply a case of beer instead, I'd be willing to loan it.

Try the local grocery store, about $50 for the day with the detergent included. Hand attachments are part of the deal too, I did the headliner as well as the seats, door panels and carpet. Can't be too clean.

What do you mix for your soap solution? I have that model, and I thought it took care of the salt.

Then the water dried out and the next day the salt lines had returned.

For the record, I did a scoop of oxy-clean and a 1/4 of a cap of washing detergent.

I use their solution, mix it up like normal. I find you have to soak the salt area, brush it really well which will break it up and cleans it all out. On really bad areas I have used a foaming carpet cleaner as well.

Yep that was what your suggestion was last year!

Soap solution, probably stick with what they sell as it seems to work well.

I need to tackle my car. With it being so warm last night I vacuumed it out, but it needs a good cleaning to get the dirt and salt that spilt over the rubber mats over the season.
