Default Does anyone think this makes me public enemy #1?

I "modified" my front license plate so that the lower grill would be wide open when I install my FMIC (the plate frame is just temporary, I'll fabricate a better one). I know that cutting up license plates is against the law though. Has anyone ever tried something like this in ON, did you get away with it? Seriously, how much time do cops have to waste?
Thanks

Default I think you can get ticketed for that

I recall somebody on their way to Cayuga and there was a roadside check for ricers and one guy got fined because his plate was modified like yours.

I think somebody else here got a sticker on as a front plate... can't remember who.

Default I've done that before. Never got pulled over....

If you think about it, you have the same exposed area as you would with most license plate frames, that is, you see the Ontario and plate number lettering only.

Default You gotta be kidding! I'm moving where you guys live! Check out what got me in trouble last year!

I got pulled over on my bike because my license plate was vertical!!! The cop didn't care that my exhaust and intake are extremely unrestricted, that I have no signal lights, no DOT taillight or brake light, or that the bike is so noisy, it will set off car alarms!!! He said my plate was "improperly displayed". I guess "learning how to read from top to bottom" is an optional course in cop school. Oh yeah, he also seized my illegal helmet and I had to walk home to get a real one.
BTW you are the owner of one gorgeous car, congratulations!!!

Thats true, but if you have an angry cop its illegal to modify the plate at all.
