started from yonge/steeles going to 401/mccowan, normally 30 min tops. Took 2.5 hours!!!!
Imagine a dump truck of gravel being dumped on your car....thats what that damn hail storm sounded like....stupid weather.
I've never seen so much traffic carnage in toronto. all the traffic lights are out, intersections flooded.....I'm pretty sure I actually saw a car floating today.
I drove through almost a foot of standing water at Mccowan/McNiccol. There's a lake behind, and a river infront of the sunoco at warden/steeles. Some poor dude in a firefly hydrolocked in the middle of it.
Check this. Mercedes SL500, white, so sweet....ABANDONED near mccowan/finch. middle lane, no flashers, no people around.
didn't have the heart to check my car for hail damage, just parked and came up. fingers crossed.
I'm moving to california....

For 2 hours today, I wished I had a Hummer.
You know how low my car is and imagine that I drove through water that was over knee deep. I went through about 20 ponds on my way home. I saw 3 lane roads all trying to get by on the centre median or the left turn lanes. I would say I saw about 30 cars that will be going to the garage tomorrow for a new engine. My brakes actually went a couple of times because of the amount of water and sudden temperate change.

So glad I got out of the office early...
Left at 4pm, saw some crazy flooding, drove through some huge puddles. Lots of cars stuck here and there, but traffic was good. All lights were pretty much on.

If I had known it would be like this I wouldn't have been out....
I was out picking up nitro fuel for my r/c models, hardly life or death! 8^)
I can't stress how sudden it was. Cloudy to apocalyptic in 15 mins.
