Have to get this off my chest. If you are new to track days DO NOT attempt without an instructor...

Yep six years ago...
Not sure who took this picture but you definitely weren't in it...

And now for some crash pictures, why you do NOT want a five point harness if you don't have a full roll cage....

Totally agree 101%! People who haven't been to the track, often think they are "all that"
and even if they have been to a track w/o instruction, they don't have an f*'in clue on how badly they suck. Between not knowing flags and not knowing track etiquette, they are just plain old scary and a menace to everyone else. Besides, what is the use of going to the track, when you don't know any of the techniques or how your car responds to them? Given the cost of track time and setting up a car correctly, it's a waste of money too.
It's like doing a trying any serious sport and doing no prior training.
Funniest thing - we went to the track once with an unknown group. Lots of Celicas. Several guys kept spinning on the track - and their cars were stock FWD!!!!!!!!!! Another friend bought a 996. She has spun it on the street at least twice, yet resists goign to the school because of the extra "wear and tear."
