How many different keys are there for Audis?
Today at the go station, it appears my car was broken into.
No scratches outside, and nothing worth taking inside. They left the center console open and flipped back (spilling a few receipts on the back seat), my Sunoco gas card on the dash and the card tray open ... and the kicker ... they OPENED my sunroof. And left it open. In the rain. Good thing the glove compartment was locked (had an ipod in there)....
I'm the only person with keys to my car - there's no visible damage inside or outside the car.
WTF!?
(oh, and it's a 2008 Audi A3 S-line, CCTY engine)

There is a common misconception about locks
They are not meant to keep people out completely, just deter the lazy and stupid, and slow down the determined and the skilled.
I never lock my glove box -- that just invites them to wreck my dash and cause even more damage.
And I never leave my car at those commuter lots. I learned that lesson the hard way yrs ago.

Which station was this?
I suppose no point in yelling at GO even though they have cameras; they're useless idiots anyways.
A while back, I read how in Europe car thieves were stealing high end Audis by unlocking the cars without keys - they simply drove up to them with a laptop, entered some codes, and bingo, the car was gone!
Audi had to change the codes in order to stop these thieves.
So, a key is not necessary...
You might want to speak to someone at Audi Canada about this - they'll probably say they know nothing about it, but it's worth a try.

Happened to our Passat a few months ago. Wife got to the car, sunroof was
open. Appeared that things had been "looked through", but there's never anything in that car anyway. Weird.
TTC Station at Yonge & Finch.

So how are they opening the sunroof?
Doesn't the car need to be on at least to open the sunroof, or are they getting into the car through the sunroof somehow? If it's the latter, that's pretty gutsy for people to break into cars through the sunroof....
