I feel sorry for Portugal fans... always close but they never seem to win much.

I gave my Portuguese (sp?) brother-in-law a call of condolence - and to stick it to him a little
of course. He answered the phone with one of those "Hullow"s that you thought his grandmother died.
Oh well, serves 'em all good for always backing Brazil. "Hey, we colonized and slaved your people 400 years ago - can we ask you to forget that and let us cheer for our colony...er, your country?"
? for the South Americans here...do you feel a bond with your prior colonizers? i.e. Spain, Portugal, I think England was in there a while ago . Curious if the Brazilians WANT Portuguese support.

Being Euro Cup, we don't have to worry about them becoming conveniently Brazilian!
Seems like in World Cup, too many Portuguese fans instantly become Brazilian when convenient.
Truth be told, most Brazilians want nothing to do with these "Continental" people.

Well, maybe one day, Canada will root for the Nation of Quebec...I don't
have to ask if anyone thinks that the support will be reciprocated.
<hey...just busten'em...don't anyone go and get offended>

At least Ronaldo didn't cry this year...he was very disappointing yesterday. His poor..
marking allowed the second Germany goal and I think Ballack's goal should have been disallowed as he shoved the Portugal guy out of the way. I watched Ronalod yesterday and in the entire game he did not help out defensively at all. Very disappointed in him.
