Fire damage (from last year) north of Kamloops on trip from Edmonton to Vancouver (1150 km, 11 hours incl. two stops for gas, one for food, ...)

Return trip to Edmonton - took exit halfway up Icefields Parkway (between Banff/Jasper) and went through Rocky Mountain House. Nice stretch of road once of the Parkway - sweeping turns, lots of room, relatively quiet ...

Oddest experience on trip - major pileup near toll booth on Coquihalla highway in BC. It became a parking lot for an hour between Hope and toll booth ~40 kms). People turned off their cars, got out, started chatting, running into the woods to do their business ... second oddest - $80 sushi at Tojo's in Vancouver (since it was only my second time eating sushi it was hard to judge how good it was ... but I'd definitely have it again)

80$ for sushi?!?!?! wow most sushi places have an "all u can eat" deal for 15$:-)

Cool pix! If you get the chance, try driving from Victoria to Tofino! Now there's a nice drive!!! And, you can try the sushi at a place called "Tuff City" (I think that's the correct spelling). The have rooms there, too (I know because my wife and I stayed there).

Think Quality over Quantity... I personally don't eat cheap sushi... it makes me wonder!
