Default Need opinion. I am moving to Canada next year...(m)

Should I just bring my S4 (MY 01) or sell it and buy another one over there? I really want avant and mine is now a sedan.

How is the market for S4 (B5) over there? I will be in Toronto.

Thanks in advance.

www.autotrader.ca

i'd personally sell myself

it's a hassle to convert a car over to cnd spec...and then a hassle when it comes to selling or insuring it

besides...you can get that avant you want so badly

Default B5-A4/S4 Avants were never sold in Canada, because..

Audi and VW felt that A4/S4 avants were too similar to Passat wagons and wouldn't sell well at all, hence they never went through the necessary bumper crash tests for the Canadian market.

Because of that, I don't believer you can register an US-spec B5 avants here in Canada. Converting your B5 sedan maybe easier since it's was sold in Canada, I believe all you need is to add DRL and maybe switch out the instrument cluster.

Default Not in Canada because of crash test requirements

I don't think you can even bring the avant to Canada because of this. If I recall correctly, it failed the rear end collision test requirements.

Good to know. So there is no S4 avant in Canada. No wonder I can't find it on the autotrader..

I'd compare used prices in Canada vs US and decide based on that

Default Check out RIV.ca, it will tell you what you need to know about importing

a vehicle from the US. I know that the 01 S4 can not be imported into Canada from the US, but special conditions may apply to you if you are a US citizen bringing your own vehicle.

I would check out the website first.
