Default Need Tire Help Info on return lease (Afretes.....)

Hi Guys,

I have to change my summer tires on my leased S4, (235-40-18) however I want to put on the cheapest tire available without having a problem when I return the car to Audi next summer at the end of the lease.

I know that all 4 tires have to be of the same make however do the new tires have to be the exact same speed rating (i.e. can the original 95y rating be replaced with 95-W rated tire)?

Can anyone help me out with some info? I would greatly appreciate some help.

Default from what i've read (maybe alex can help here)

the cost of paying the penalty for having less than ideal tires is far less than the cost of paying for 4 new tires to be installed and balanced.

of course if you need tires now...and the lease isnt up for 12 months this isn't of any use to you

Exactly. Have the inspection done, you'll be surprised.

Does the inspection cost much? Do I have to do it through Audi?

Free of charge. It's done through Audi Canada. The company's name is Autovin.

Default Speed rating should be okay to play with a little. It's the LOAD rating that has to be good

or they can charge you for 4 new tires.
