Default PSA: U2 to play Rogers Centre Sept 16 and Vancouver at a later date! New 360 degree stage....

Now THIS has never been done before....

Every fan will have an unobstructed view of the band. And ticket prices will be reasonably priced due to the size of the venues (stadiums only).

What a band.<ul><li><a href="http://360.u2.com/">http://360.u2.com/</a</li></ul>

Yup, anyone here remember The Forum before it was torn down to build the Molson Amphitheatre?

No kidding. Cantopop stars have been doing that with arena tours for decades.

Default Confirming yet again that U2 have become full fledged pop stars.

Default Well, what choice do they have? The Irish issue was done along time ago. So,

whether or not they helped the cause, they can't harp on it anymore. If they choose to peddle for the next "cause du jour" i.e. African debt in their music, then people will be all over them for perceived "grandstanding". With Ireland, you could appreciate they were singing about their home and their personal and family experiences. They haven't starved in Africa yet.

So, become a "pop" band with vague or little reference to "issue".

...and still cash in.
...and still get the chicks.

Their 1997 album "Pop" didn't do it for ya?
