Default Please don't take offense but...

if your reply will fit in the subject line, just put it in there. It will save everyone a click on your "a comment..." posts. In fact, if you start all your replies (no matter the length) in the subject line it will help improve the flow of the thread.

Sorry to sound "preachy", but it's a pet peeve of mine.

Koz.

Default took delivery today.

Few things.

It is really easy to start, no effort on the pull cord, and 1 shot.

It is a bit on the noisy side. 11 hp, and 104db at full throttle

The hydrostatic trnsmission is very nice. You can have full throttle for the auger, and creep along at a few mm per sec, or 3km/hr, and anything inbetween. Same with reverse.

The auger height takes about 5 pouinds of force to raise or lower it as it cantelevers on the tracks. Very nice way of grinding a tuff to get spot, or a hard pack spot. The auger height is attached to a gas charged shock, kind of like the ones on a height adjustable chair. You squeez adjust height then release. Very sweet on the fly.

So until it snows some real snow, all I have is a bit of cleanup of wet water/ice from the driveway today...it made brick shaped ice cubes vs. throwing it .

The hydraulic oil is lifetime duty.

Default I know how you feel. My snow blower...

is back in Canmore and I'm in Whitehorse for the year with a driveway 3x bigger using the landlord's snow scoop and shovel. It's an all day project to shovel and we're looking after a friend's house over the holidays so 2 driveways to clear!
It would be nice to have a SB this winter.

Hugh
