Default Take a skip on the new Calgary Audi Dealership

I'd say the new Royal Oak Audi (Calgary) will not be around for much longer based on my experience. I've been there three times and each time there were no other customers beside myself. And, get this, I have been refused a test drive twice.

The first refusal was an A5 which the sales person said that I could drive but the Manager said NO at the last moment. The second refusal was yesterday with the "just in" TTS (which is high on my list of new cars) and I was told that I could order one but there would be no test drives. I however did test drive a 335 yesterday at a much more welcoming and professional BMW dealership which I'm know leaning towards.

Default Sigh - I was holding up high hopes for them!

Being in Red Deer, that would be much more convenient than Glenmore, and I will never go to Southgate again for anything. Oh well . . . doesn't look like I'm going to have an Audi much longer anyway as I'm getting rid of the TT in the spring, and at this rate, it will be a while before I'm back. Pity. I was planning on coming back to Audi when I replace the Touareg in another year, will see how the dealers are then. I was still holding out hope that the S4 would come as an Avant, and that doesn't look hopeful either!

I will never go back to a dealership that says I can't have a test drive. Reminds me . . . back when I bought my A4, I went in to a Nissan dealer to look at the then new Maxima . . . was told I could only drive one if I made a deposit, lol!

Default 2nd -- Would have been more convenient...

I agree with you on Southgate, they have really gone down in the last few years.

For your information; we just spent $70,000 at MB because of the terrible service at Audi. My wife and I love the Audi cars so that was a major disappointment. It is unfortunate that we have to buy a different brand than what we really want just because of the dealer.

They have no incentive to change as sales are up. I pity all these new Audi customers when they come back for service.

Default I test drove an S4 there recently and had a good experience

In fact part way through the test drive the sales rep remarked that I "didn't drive very aggresively"...I wouldn't say I was just poking along, but I wasn't thrashing it. Needless to say I stepped it up from there on!

BTW same owners as Glenmore Audi & Southcentre. Everyone in Sales at Glenmore has always been fairly helpful too.

I was once refused a test drive unless I put down a deposit - on a Subaru Impreza 2.5RS if you can believe it! I bought my B5 instead.

I've been pleased with the service of Glenmore Audi.

Default For the record, I did test drive a 2.0 TT at Royal Oak. My experiance at Glenmore Audi has

been good but I had a very poor exeriance at Southcenter the one and only time I brought my wife's Passat in for service.

Default Brought my new A3 there to have the Nav security code retrieved.

I live closer to Glenmore but the wait for a service appointment was over three weeks. So I tried Royal Oak and was told the job would take no more than an hour and that I could just wait for it. Staff were friendly, lounge with TV was nice and I could help myself to coffee/tea/juice/snacks. Only problem is I was there for three hours. I'm not one to lose my patience over it, and to be honest I enjoyed sitting there in the lounge much more than being at the office!
