Default UPDATE on the EuroGear CF hood and hood pins...

First a reminder on the location of the hood pins.

And of the locking mechanism (without the screws to secure it to the hood).

Here are the OE rubber height adjusters for the hood. We found that the EuroGear hood’s holes were not really made proper enough to use these so we used an alternative solution.

So we ordered these to replace the OE rubber ones. A small bonus is they are red. We also selected to different locations to install them. As a matter of fact we were not happy with a middle of the way dip (midway down the hood’s line on the edges) in the EuroGear hood so we propped it up by two of these in a strategic location and it worked.

Here are the two new locations for the install of the new height adjusters. One is half way down the side of the hood to prop it up. We removed a fender bolt and used its location to install the adjuster. The other is one of two bolts that hold the headlight in its place.

Close up of the one down the fender.

Close up of the one in the headlight location.

We received overnight the proper length M4 screws (40mm long) to secure the locking mechanism to the CF hood. Notice we went right through the double layer of the hood in a reinforced area.

Finally here a view of the hood once adjusted. It is perhaps hard to tell but the two edges (hood and fender) match perfectly. Also you can see the M4 screws have been installed and yes they are black.
