Vincent in Montreal.HELP! and if anyone else can help (read on.)
I understand your the detailing guru so if you can't help me no one can. I just noticed this week that the car got sprayed with something that looks like blue crystals. I went to a coin-op car wash last night to get it off with their brush, but didn't work. There stuck on to the windshield and the paint. If i scrub to hard with a sponge or the mit, i'm afraid of scratching the paint. Any advise you can offer,i would really appreciate.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yep, like snwguy said, get a clay bar, get lots of patience, and razor blade
Use the clay bar on the paint. Mix 1/3 car soap and 2/3 water in a mister/sprayer bottle. It'll be your lube. For the windows, use a razor blade, it's faster then the clay bar. But use it only on windows, not on paint.

Try blotting an alcohol soaked cloth. You might want to try laying a water soaked towel over the
area for 15-30 minutes first. A bug and tar remover might also work. If there is no sign of the crystals disolving or softening up, I'd try a pressure washer.
I detailed my son's new-used car which had old dryed tree sap riveted to the paint work. Nothing worked including a clay bar. I ended up using a flat head screw driver. I started by angling the screw driver head down so thats its touching, but not sratching, clean paint next to spot and gently chiped away. It seemed to work fine.

Try dissolving them first then move to physical means....
Maybe goo gone or bug and tar remover or as eh-4 says alcohol and a cloth. BTW stay away from those car wash brushes. You never know what the previous people have left behind on the brush.

Yep CT, Parts Source, NAPA ,Wal Mart Anywhere that sells..
detailing stuff. Most clay bars come with detailing spray. As Vincent says soap and H2O works just as well. Try these guys for the bar alone.as well as Zaino polish.
