Where can I buy Toluene in Toronto?
#7
Very Serious... Read inside...
I have been dragging for a couple years now and those ol' silly experienced muscle car drivers were always coming to see me, check my setup and the rest... and everytime those old foxes recommended me adding 1oz. of reddish tranny-fluid to the mix for every gallon of toluene.
Reason according to them is simple, toluene/xylene is too dry to run straight with a mix of 91 or 94 Octane (I sometime use VP103 also). The small amount of tranny oil protects your setup against this; you can notice a small bluish fume coming out of the exaust obviously as the oil burns up...
Been doing this for the last 4 years and continue doing so. One thing is for sure, it didn't do any damage, that I can tell.
