Default All signs point to yes.

I have a 98.5 1.8T, when I installed mine I got crazy vibration through the steering wheel. I tried letting the car idle for a few mins with the snub mount "basket" semi loose to let it center itself. Helped a bit but I ended sanding down the inside of the basket so that the snub mount had a bit of play and not fit size for size. That minimized the vibrations.

Default Did you center it in the housing before tightening everything up?

Did that with mine and the car is fine. 6MT though, not tip.

Default What colour did you put in?.. could be the wrong one...

... when I first put mine in, there was some vibrations in the cabin. Give the car a week or so of driving for it to settle. Its good now.

If it is cold out and that thing is not seated/centered the car will shake a lot.

Default The APR Blue and Black snubs tend to fit a little tight at first

Give it some time to 'pancake' out slightly.

Thing to keep in mind too is new mount and cold weather do not mix to well up here.

It should get better with a little time.

Please note: this is all provided your tech/or you, did install it centered in the first place. If not, she'll never feel right.

Cheers
