ACNA Driving School Lane Toss FTMFW!
A few minutes ago I almost got into a pretty serious wreck. I was driving home from a doctor appointment only blocks away from my home in the Sweet Saturn. It was a single lane road with a center turn lane. A Pathfinder in oncoming traffic was in the middle lane ready to turn left. I was only about 50 feet away going 35mph when he/she decided to turn in front of me. I immeditately pitched the car to the left and then back straight again, only missing the Pathfinder by inches. Thank you, Marko and Ted for choosing my lanes so late into the exercise. You ****ing rule.

its better to let it go...as many have told me here once;-)
But all kidding aside, I have noticed people are driving worse and worse as days go by. Blowing red lights left and right. Ignoring to keep the intersection clear. Riding your a**. All sorts of things. When you honk at them they give you a birdie.
I was pleasantly surprised few weeks ago in California. On a highway, nobody is going less than 75-80. In a city, if you put your blinker out, people will actually stop and let you get over, unlike Chicago/Midwest drivers who speed up trying to close on you.

I too, had a lane toss. Monday while heading inbound on I-55,
the pick up truck in the right lane slowly moved over to the middle lane from the right lane. This revealed a full semi trailer tread suddenly laying right in front of me. I was accelerating and going about 70 since I thought the driver of the pick up left me with a nice big gap to run in. So I cut the wheel to the right and back left pretty hard. The shoulder was all dusty with loose debris. Luckily I only moved over a few feet because I almost lost it. Anyway, I ended up clipping the tire a little bit, which is better than having it slam into my oil pan.
The same day, the wife parked too close to a curb and tore apart her front bumper. I had to go back there later that night because it didn't occur to her to get out and collect the lower grill. Then I had to take the whole thing apart and reassemble it.
The next day, she ran over some glass and a big chunk went right through the sidewall. Luckily it was in a parking lot and not at speed. So I had to come save the day.
It's been a rough week.
