Default Can someone from a audi dealer do me a simple favor please?
I want to get this oem satilite radio tuner from their A6 but i have no idea if it will work with my A4.

audi part # off the tuner is
sdars-tuner xm 8e0 035 593 a


I checked clairparts.com and the A6 and A4 have matching part numbers there but its not the same as what the seller has. So im sorta lost.

Default why not get an aftermarket radio with XM that matches your dash?
I assume you want the 'oem' look, you could always wire XM to your head unit you have now.

Default Well my 2004 is prewired already for it. When I bought the audi, the tuner was backordered
its just a small "brain" type that goes into the trunk. I need that part to get it working, it just plugs in. I have a satilight button on my stock headunit as well. =)

sweet setup you have, saw your car Sunday briefly.. I was impressed, only A4 but it definately stood out. Those tires were clean! Nice drop too.

I confirmed with my parts dept that the satelite radio receivers are the same for the A6 & A4.

Default Thanks Tim, are the part numbers the same though?
on clairparts.com the A6 and A4 tuner have the same part number.
But the seller told me his is a 8e0 035 593 a which isnt what clairparts.com has.
