Default Good Custom exhaust setup/shop?

Hey anyone have a shop in mind that does custom exhausts very well. And have a good price, and on the other note, anyone have any good setups? I ahve an AUTO 1.8tq. I want something soft, like a purr, not a fart can! And i was wondering if custom shops can make downpipes/test pipes too?
Thanks alot!

Howard

Default I talked to these guys last time I was there about a custom exhaust...

They have all the parts on hand to make you a nice, custom stainless exhaust and were absolutely amazed by what the Audi tuners are charging for their exhausts (i.e. thiers should be substantially cheaper). I may need a new one soon and will very seriously consider going to Fair for a custom one. They're definitely worth talking to! GREAT guys, GREAT service too!

Default How much did it cost you gr ?

How much did it cost you? Also, i heard its better to get aluminum for as much of the system as you can and stainless for the parts that need to be stainless? Is this true? Thanks

i'm thinking, 2 resonators since i plan to get a test pipe, and 2.5' mandrel bent, nething else i'm missing? Thanks

Default Yep, I went in there on a recommendation for a small adjustment.

They put the car up, fixed it, and sent me on my way and wouldn't take any money. And this was the first time I'd been there!

Default I didn't have them build me one. Already had an aftermarket system before I went there.

I'm just saying that next time I need a new exhaust I'll be headed there (and actually, it looks like I may need a new one this week, so I may have a cost for you soon!)
