I dunno about the Jetta, but they screw-in on every Audi I've worked on.
You can do it with the cheezy cube or be a hack and use a set of needle-nose pliers.
But you really want the right tool for the job and a good one costs ~$70. The Harbor Freight one is considerably cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
