update on Little Luke v2.0
things have turned for the better in a huge way. After several doctors examined him and dozens of tests were performed it was discovered that he has a viral infection which has effected his bladder and it's connection to the nerve endings which feed directly to the spinal cord. The diagnosis was confirmed using a scope which looked directly at the inside of his bladder and a small biopsy .... trust me you don't want to here the details on how that is done.
They started administering a specific drug protocol last night and told us we should start seeing some improvement pretty rapidly. (they weren't kidding)
For the first time since last Friday he was able to sleep the whole night through with no crying and no noticable discomfort ... this lead to pretty good conditions for some very much needed rest for him not to mention my wife, daughter and me.
This morning he woke up and ate his breakfast in record time and asked for more. He then wanted to go to the playroom they have in the pediatric ward at the hospital. Right now he is bouncing off the walls saying "go home now!"
After what they are calling "needed additional observation" which in his case means the nurses want to play with him, he should get released this afternoon
thanks for all of the kind thoughts, posts, PM's and e-mails ...
