As for the K04 software -- look at Lance (LCP) -- he's been running the APR beta k04 program for a year now. No issues. As a matter of fact he says it's running rich up top.

Gotta throw my $.02 in
I have known Rob for almost a year. I aligned his R? S4 twice. He is a great guy with great intentions. He makes it a point to say hi to me every time he is in the shop. A great business man and a great guy. We are very lucky to have a performance shop like MP so close. Stop bashing untill you have hard proof.

if i can chime in here....
i havent dealt with MP yet at all since i have started modding my S4 here in chicago. so until i have a first hand experience with them, what others say wont mean anything, until i decide i want to give them my business and my $$$$...
on another note, GRD in naperville has done me pretty damn well so far (even though many say its a ricer shop). they have installed my short shifter, coilovers, boost gauge, fog light mod, turbo timer, and apr snub mount and have taken care of me if/when i had an issue or two.
tuan, alan and irshad have gotten me good prices on anything i need and have always been there when i come bother them cause something "creaks" and i get ****....
so i highly recommend giving GRD a chance too. again until you give a tuner shop business, dont listen to what others might say....
