Who has the best service department?
Don't know if anyone really checks this forum, but thought i would give it a shot. for you Chicago guys, where do you have your service done? I purchased from McGrath in Glenview, and have been planning to try them for service. When i had my A4, i used The Exchange and Fletcher Jones (city). I live downtown, so FJ is the closest choice, but i have not always had a good experience with them. However, i did use FJ (MB Chicago) when i had my MB, and had a good experience.
Does anyone have an opinion on McGrath?

For what it is worth, I was never a fan of McGrath Acura and the sales team in Westmont before and after the move. I use Continental Audi in Naperville as I live in the burbs. Sorry, no feed back about the dealers in or closer to the city.

Suggest you post this question over on the Quattroworld Chicagoland forum - there's a lot more traffic over there:

I've only had mine in twice to McGrath (bought there also), but have not had any problem with them at all. A nice feature about them if you're in the city is that the Golf Metra stop is walking distance to the dealer.

I live downtown and have quite a bit of experience with Fletcher Jones. I am not a fan, however it is mostly because their outrageous labor rate: $130-140/hr. The quality of their work is usually solid.
Their best skill is identifying items they say need replacement a) you were unaware of and b) about 6 months or 5k before they really need replacement.
I have found the parts department to be generally resourceful and sympathetic.
Overall I avoid them. I use them for oil changes in order to keep my Audi extended engine warranty which was given to cars with the 1.8t which were susceptible to the sludge problem.

McGrath Audi in Glenview
I would refer you to McGrath in Glenview. Nice shop, good straigt forward advisor's. They also will provide you with a Audi to drive. Ask for Norberto. He has been there for at least 8 years.
