Default Kudos to Jon Linkov for two fine articles published in the Fall "quattro quarterly"...

also, Christian Long had an article published in that same issue. I haven't seen him posting here recently; I hope everything is well with him!

Happy Holidays All!

Default Christian is helping me with a AudiWorld project right now....

We're putting together a historical model guide off all models sold in the US since 1980. Between the two of us we have about 90% of all the info. I'll have the basic structure of the new section online by the end of the year (it will be located in the existing Model Guide) and then will be filling it out as time goes on.

Default Don't forget...

the 1980 4000S. It was a "special edition" that had the 100 hp 5 cylinder, 14 x 6 alloy wheels and 185-60HR14 Firestone S660's. My father had one; it was my introduction to Audi (I put many (high speed) miles on it driving him to work over the summer). Compared to my mothers '81 BMW 320i, the 4000S was the "superior driving machine" :^)

Looking forward to seeing the model guide; I hope it educates some of the "new" Audi fans to Audi's tremendous technological heritage. Also, I've been following Audi pretty closely since 1985; if I can be of help, please let me know.

Default There was actually a 2-door model that year too....

but I don't have the specs for it, but I'm sure I'll get them eventually.

This will be a pretty cool section once it's done, but it may take awhile before it's truely completed.

Default Was that the 5+5? Awesome car! I used to have a 4000 5cyl. Auto.

I have some articles for the 1982 Coupe and brochures for the 1984 Coupe GT and Coupe Quattro, some other C&D articles and Road and Track articles on the 1986 Coupe and I think a 1987 4000 line brochure, etc. I may also have some 1989 200 Series salesmans literature.

If you need some scans, let me know.
