Pikes Peak quattro Challenge--Was I the only one...
Was I the only person who had a great time at the AoA quattro Challenge at PPIR last weekend? I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen any posts thus far. Congratulations and thanks to Audi for throwing a tremendous event. Talk about a manufacturer that values their customers--wow! Also kudos to the instructors. They were great teachers and fun as well.
I would personally like to thank the invitees who didn't bother to come on Sunday. Because of you we got almost twice as many laps in every event. AoA is doing this in 3 more locations this year (San Francisco and Boston were mentioned), I stongly urge Audi owners in these areas not to hesitate when you get your invites. Call the 800 number immediately--don't even think about mailing your RSVP.
Hey AoA let's do it again next year!

There's no website. One day an expensive invitation will arrive in your mailbox if you are one of the chosen. I have no idea when the other events are planned. I would make sure to register at the AoA web site. Then it always helps to pull a few strings at your dealer (they will probably get a few spots to dole out) or see how far up on the AoA PR food chain you can get. Good luck, its worth it!

Rick Snyder (Snick) did a write up on the A4 forum last week.

Re: Pikes Peak quattro Challenge--Was I the only one...
Nope I had a great time on Sunday.
We were the second group to hit the autocross track. My first lap was the best time of the day up to that point (24.80) - it only lasted until our second runs, then I was beat out by two S4's, a TT quattro. Best time was a 23.16. The best time I saw was a 22.54.
As much fun as I had on the autcross course I had the most fun on the wet handling, but learned the most on the braking, accident avoidance course.
They should invite everyone again when there car is three years old and they're ready to trade!

You're right. How remiss I've been to not post anything...
It was an awesome experience!!
For someone who has never autocrossed, I never thought I'd do these things in my precious baby. It was great fun making the tires squeal (especially on the wet handling course!).
The AoA people were genuinely thrilled to be putting the event on for us all; they're to be commended.
