A couple weeks ago I bought a 2020 A8. The Carfax is clean however it does not show any service history, as I have seen on most other Carfax. The dealer claims they can't see anything other than what they did when they received the car.
If I pay for an erWin will I get service history as an individual with my VIN?
This car was sold at auction, in its history - I'm mostly curious to see if there was an alternator failure in its past (and related fix.)

I don't believe dealerships log any general service work to "Audi servers", so don't know from what database erwin would pull such info. It's a nice idea, but they aren't about to undertake the costs of such infrastructure just for our benefit.
Does the report history show it's registration history, at least the state/county? If so, you could check with the Audi dealership seemingly relevant to that area if the VIN was serviced there.
It's a new car. If an alternator was replaced, it would be filed under warranty claim to AoA. You might be able to check with them and see what the warranty claim history for the VIN is.
