bug in thread tracking?
today I was posting as usual, and I noticed this:

Shouldn't I be able to update this post? If not, why is that one reply highlighted? I beleive I updated the post after it had been posted. Just lettin ya'll know.
To add to this, now that I look at it, shouldn't Rob Andrews reply be above Sleeper4's? Sleeper4 posted his approx 5 min earlier...

Are you talking about the "you shouldn't have..." post? If so, looks like you posted
it from the normal forum and not the *new* forum, and thus you can not "edit" it even though at this time you are currently using the new forum (as evident from the bold, etc that you pointed out)

no. Look at the pic again. I use the new software. I'm talking about the reply beneath that
it's in bold, yet there is no "up", which I assume means "update post", to click. The thread is tracked and was since I made the first reply. The "you shouldn't have..." post is another color because I haven't clicked on it.

Wow, what an interesting race condition...
Between determining if a thread has new messages or not.
What's particularly interesting is how the replies are out of chronological order. I think Rob Andrews editted his message between building the list of replies and fetching the data for the text.
I think I can fix this, but it should only be a minor inconvenience for now. Refreshing the page should fix it. Did you try that?

I can't really remember the chain of events.
it went away when another reply was made. Otherwise, the software has worked flawlessly for me, and that is the only time I have seen this anomaly. Great Work Johannes!
