Corrections needed in tech article !!!!
"Audi was originally formed in Germany in 1910, by August Horch. ("Audi" is the Latin version of his name, which means "hearken" in German.)
In 1932, it merged with three other German car companies to form Auto Union. (The four linked circles of the Audi logo symbolise this merger.) In 1963 the company was renamed Audi, and merged with Volkswagen to form "Volkswagen Audi Geselschaft" (VAG).
VAG also owns SEAT, and Skoda."
The following corrections are needed:
* VAG = Volkswagen Aktien Gesellschaft
* The Audi company did not merge with VAG, it was acquired by Volkswagen
* This acquisition happened in 1964, effective Jan 1, 1965 - not 1963. Similarly, the Audi name was selected in 1965 - not 1963.
* Horch, the founder of the Audi brands, actually started the whole shebang in 1899 by founding the "Horch" company - one of the four involved in the 1932 merger to form the Auto Union
* The tradename "Audi" was registered in 1910, that's correct, but Horch founded that company in 1909. It simply took a year before the name was changed due to lawsuits from the original Horch company he left.
I hope I haven't left anything out, but for the sake of correctness on an enthusiasts web site, I think the facts should be presented correctly :-)
