very obvious at this point that no one is pleased with a change notice being dropped days before the actual migration is to take place.
They could have handled things a lot better. Used this opportunity to get user feedback and perhaps make some changes that users have been wanting.
Since the forums are all about converstations and collaboration you'd think they'd want to be a little more open about what was going on and get some users involved.

If you're going to change something that your users use, get your users involved in the change process.
Maybe JET and folks don't care because they've already been paid, but IB should care

or they want the efficiency of having 1 software platform across all their brands...
...so that they can leverage improvements (subjective, i know), decrease costs. why maintain 2 codebases, just so 1 site can keep its status quo? it's just smart business, as long as they make sure the interface doesn't drive people away.
