mozilla problem: printing long threads

mozilla problem: printing long threads
folks,
has anyone else encountered problems printing long threads with mozilla (in my case, under os x)?
for instance, if i try to print <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/948662.phtml">this long thread</a> using the "print only this frame" option mozilla tries to compact everything onto three pages, producing this <a href="http://m3.mayzurk.com/meem/misc/unusable-output.pdf">unreadable output</a>.
note that this happens regardless of whether i select the "shrink to fit page width" option.
any assistance or workaround is most welcome
